Privacy policy

1. Information stored on your device

When you import a photo or PDF, scan a page, recognize handwriting, edit text, or add glossary corrections, OldScript stores that content locally on your iPhone. This includes document images, recognized text, document titles, proofreading progress, and corrections.

2. On-device recognition

In version 1.0, standard text recognition runs on your iPhone. OldScript does not upload the contents of your documents for standard recognition. Optional cloud enhancement is disabled in this release.

3. Purchases and RevenueCat

Apple processes payments. OldScript uses RevenueCat to retrieve product availability, process and restore the one-time “Unlimited Recognition” entitlement, and keep purchase status in sync. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, device and operating-system information, last-seen time, and transaction information such as Apple receipt and entitlement status. OldScript does not receive your full payment-card details.

4. Data sharing and tracking

OldScript does not sell your information, share document content for advertising, or track you across apps and websites. Purchase information is shared only as needed with Apple and RevenueCat to provide and restore purchases.

5. Retention and deletion

You can delete individual pages or entire documents inside OldScript at any time. Deleting the app removes locally stored OldScript document content from that device. Purchase and transaction records may remain with Apple or RevenueCat as needed to provide restoration, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.

6. Children

OldScript is a general-purpose document utility and is not directed to children. It does not ask users to create an account or provide age information.

7. Website hosting

This website uses no advertising cookies or first-party analytics. Vercel hosts the site and may process standard technical request information, such as IP address and browser details, to deliver and protect the service.

8. Changes

If OldScript’s data practices materially change, this policy will be updated before the changed feature is released. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
